On the basis of the applied anatomical study of fetal renal transplantation,renal transplantation was performed on 11 patients,which was successful in 9 ca- ess.In the operation,some important techniques,such as hypothermic injection,mode and position of anastomosis of the donor vessels with the recipient ones ha-ve been improved.Methods to establish and observe the extrasomatic blood circu-lation of the donor kidney were recommended in this paper.

In this paper renal epithelial like cells from human fetal were used for the cell transformation studies. The primary cultured cells were treated with the solvent extract of cigarette smoke condensate at concentrations of 10 and 15μg/ml for 24hrs. About 30-40 days after treatment some characteristic changes in the treated cells were observed. Morphological features of the treated cells under light and electron microscopy were similar to that of malignant cells. The chromosomes of these cells changed drastically...

In this paper renal epithelial like cells from human fetal were used for the cell transformation studies. About 30-40 days after treatment some characteristic changes in the treated cells were observed. Morphological features of the treated cells under light and electron microscopy were similar to that of malignant cells. The chromosomes of these cells changed drastically in number. The rate of incorporation of H-TdR into DNA was higher in the treated cells than in the control cells. Treated cells grew on agar plates and showed an increased lifespan. Immortalization of treated cells was also induced. These results indicate that transformation of human fetal renal epithelial like cells can be induced by cigarette smoke and that this system may be useful for cell transformation studies.
