英语学术语篇中对话空间的话语建构

【摘要】：目前,人们普遍认为,学术语篇是作者与读者之间所进行的目的性互动。在这种互动中,作者试图通过构建针对其观点进行的协商、评价对话空间,条理真实地体现自己的观点及其研究发现,达到与潜在的读者建立关系的目的。在学术语篇中,由于不存在作者与读者之间的直接联系,构建进行意义协商的对话空间尤为重要,作者必须有能力预见读者可能作出的各种反应,运用不同的话语资源,引导读者对文本作出自己所预期的、条理的解释,说服读者接受自己的观点。 本研究着眼于学术语篇中一些普遍存在的语言手段,探讨英语学术语篇中对话空间的话语构建。本研究借助WordSmi th Tools5.0和Antconc3.4两种分析软件,对语言学领域和教育领域的180篇学术文章进行了定量分析和定性分析。所有文章的文本转化成包含六个子语料的电子语料库,每个子语料代表一种学术期刊,总数为1,424,632词。 通过分析,本研究有以下发现： 1.虽然构建对话空间的语言资源包含很多种,但是,英语学术语篇作者较多采用介入资源中的归属、让步、否定构建对话空间。归属被用来扩展对话空间,让步被用来缩小对话空间,而否定被用来关闭对话空间。 2.并非所有的归属、让步、否定资源都可以用来构建学术语篇中的对话空间,事实上,它们中一些典型的语言模式可以被称为对话空间的语言模式。 3.在对学术语篇中对话空间的话语构建研究过程中,会出现一些难以避免的问题或可能性。譬如,有些语言模式界限模糊,很难对它们进行恰当的解释,最典型的例子是作为否定标示的not,当它与only搭配时,并没有否定意义,也就不存在对对话空间的收缩；由于研究问题的局限性,有些重要的文本内容可能被忽略了。 本研究有以下启示： 本研究可以为英语学术语篇的写作和阅读提供重要参考。由于不同的语言资源有不同的作用,作者应该选用恰当的语言模式来表明自己的立场,读者应该熟悉这些语言模式,以便识别作者的真正立场。 本研究仅仅是以评价理论为理论框架对对话空间的研究,对对话空间的话语构建还可以从不同角度进行。
