中美政治语篇中的概念隐喻对比研究

【摘要】： 隐喻研究一直是语言学家关注的焦点。传统隐喻研究把隐喻视为纯粹的语言现象,作为一种修辞手段进行研究。与隐喻研究的传统观点不同,美国语言学家莱柯夫和约翰逊认为隐喻不仅仅是人类语言的一种形式,而且是人类的一种思维方式和行为模式。从亚里士多德开始,人们已经对隐喻进行了多方面的理论研究。最近几十年,虽然已经有一些学者从隐喻的角度来分析政治话语,但是几乎没有关于政治话语中概念隐喻的对比研究。 政治语篇一直被视为带有浓厚政治色彩和意识形态的烙印,因此非常抽象,很难理解。批评性话语分析主要研究语言、权力、和意识形态之间的关系。这一理论指出,语言是意识表达和权力实施的主要媒介,并且概念隐喻是一种更为有力的语言工具。 本文试图将认知语言学中的概念隐喻理论和批评性话语分析理论运用到政治语篇的分析中,基于相关语料进行政治概念隐喻对比分析。本文的语料为2006年中国温家宝总理的政府工作报告和2006年美国总统布什的国情咨文。本文根据莱柯夫的概念隐喻理论,找出中美语料中的概念隐喻,进行对比分析。试图找出其相似点和不同点,并分析概念隐喻在中美政治语篇中的作用以及隐藏在其背后的意识形态。 结果显示,中美语料中的共同概念隐喻有:旅途隐喻、战争隐喻、建筑隐喻、家庭隐喻和有机体隐喻。围棋隐喻,圆圈隐喻和机械隐喻是中国语料所特有的,而宗教隐喻和商业隐喻是美国语料所特有的。虽然中美语料存在一些共同的概念隐喻,但具体内容不同。隐喻表达的相同之处在于人类相似的体验和世界认知,不同之处在于社会、政治、文化方面的不同取向。此外,在对比研究概念隐喻时,作者发现隐喻语言在构建意识形态方面具有强大作用,不管是温家宝总理还是美国布什总统,他们都喜欢大量运用隐喻来表达自己的政治思想和立场,通过人们熟悉的概念映射到抽象的陌生的政治概念,来达到说服、感染和激励民众的目的。
