基于礼貌理论的汉语拒绝言语行为性别差异研究

拒绝言语行为是指说话者对交谈对象提出的请求、邀请、建议、帮助等各种行为表达拒绝意图的一种言语行为,本质上具有面子威胁性质。近年来,越来越多的学者开始注意到这一语言现象并对其进行研究,但鲜有学者关注到拒绝言语行为中语用性别差异现象。男性和女性归属于不同的亚文化群体,在形态各异的价值观影响下,两个群体会形成各自独特的语言特征。据此,文章将对拒绝言语行为中性别差异现象进行探讨。研究表明:1)就拒绝策略而言,男性和女性经常使用两大类拒绝策略即直接拒绝策略和间接拒绝策略,其中共包含11种具体策略,如,表达不愿意以及能力不足,解释说明,提供他选等拒绝策略;就拒绝辅助语而言,除Beebe等人划分的五类拒绝辅助语(表达积极看法,表达同情等),本研究发现“告诫(提醒)”也是一类常用拒绝辅助语。2)男性和女性所采用的拒绝表达形式和策略共性与差异并存。共性:在各种假设情景下,间接拒绝策略使用频率均极高。二者在实施拒绝言语行为时皆会采用适当的礼貌策略。差异:在不同情景下,男性和女性采用不同语言表达形式和礼貌策略实施拒绝。男性多以批评性或言及自身及集体利益为理由实施拒绝,而女性多以家庭原因或身体原因作为拒绝理由...
