基于语境理论的高中英语词汇教学研究

【摘要】：近年来伴随着经济与社会的发展，中国的英语教学受到越来越多的重视。词汇教学是英语教学的关键，却没受到应有的重视。在高中英语教学与学习过程中，教师机械地教词汇，学生机械地记忆和理解词汇导致越来越多的学生与教师花费大量的时间在英语词汇教学和学习中，但效果却不明显。从而导致学生丧失对英语词汇学习的兴趣，也没能在意义和用法上真正的掌握生词，英语词汇的应用能力没有得到应有的提高。因此选择有效的英语词汇教学方法显得尤为重要。 本文旨在从此处着眼，主要研究通过语境理论与词汇教学的结合来进行词汇的灵活教学。语境包括语言语境和非语言语境，通过对特定语境的理解与运用，学生不仅能更好的理解词汇真正的含义，而且能灵活地将词汇运用到各种适合的语境中去，从而真正达到词汇教学的真正目的。 学生的词汇学习能力与其对语境理论的掌握与运用密不可分，本文以语境理论以及语境理论与词汇的关系为理论基础，回顾了国内外的语境理论与词汇教学的研究成果，并根据我国当前高中英语词汇教学的现状，作者提出了本论文的研究问题： 1）基于语境理论的高中英语词汇教学是否能提高学生对于英语词汇学习的兴趣？ 2）基于语境理论的高中英语词汇教学是否能提高学生对英语词汇的运用能力？ 本研究通过问卷和试卷相结合的方法进行调查研究，实验通过对辽宁省丹东四中的两个平行班，共123名学生进行了为期15周的实验。两个平行班分别为控制班和实验班，实验班使用结合语境理论的方法进行教学，而控制班则使用传统的教学方法。实验通过对问卷和词汇测试的数据收集已经运用SPSS11.5进行分析，从而得出结论： 1）基于语境理论的高中英语词汇教学能提高学生对于英语词汇学习的兴趣 2）基于语境理论的高中英语词汇教学能提高学生对英语词汇的运用能力本研究表明，，在高中英语中运用语境理论教词汇，学习者可以增强兴趣、提高其对词汇的理解与运用能力，同时也是实施高中英语词汇教学的有效途径。
